Smith & Standley Windings was established in 1995 by managers from Control Techniques Dynamics Ltd, a sub-division of Leroy Sommer, owned by Emerson Corp. The company was largely dominated by a single industrial customer until 2011 when S&S Windings was acquired by Ben Ballard.
JBS Racing Ltd was established in 2008 by Ben Ballard. The company’s initial purpose was to design and supply racing engines, and then branched out in to UAV engines in 2010.
iNetic Ltd was officially established in 2016 through the merging of S&S Windings and JBS Racing, both owned by Ben Ballard. Continued growth into the aerospace and automotive sectors, alongside S&S Winding’s original industrial work, and partnership with large companies in these areas facilitated iNetic’s establishment.
